    Scala Developer

    Portavita (part of CGM) supports healthcare groups, healthcare providers and patients in improving treatment and prevention programs for the entire healthcare population. In addition, Portavita strengthens regional cooperation with innovative digital healthcare solutions that contribute to smarter network healthcare.

    Sustainable Buildings

    Data Engineer / Backend Developer

    At Sustainable Buildings, I worked with an enthusiastic team on a startup to help make buildings more energy-aware and sustainable.

    In my main role as Data Engineer, my daily work consisted of the development of our Apache Flink and Apache Spark applications, while also assisting with our ever evolving backend architecture with a strong focus on scalability.
    Main technologies used: Spark, Flink, Akka, Kafka, Airflow, Scala.

    In 2020, the company was acquired by the Innova Groep: a company active mainly as an energy supplier in the Dutch consumer and business market. One of the projects I worked on is the new intake application where all new contracts are processed.

    University of Groningen

    Teaching Assistant

    Teaching assistant for the master courses 'Web and Cloud Computing' and 'Scalable Computing'. As TA, I mainly assist with the practical sessions, where students have to develop a highly scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed web application.

    NuPlek v.o.f.

    Co-founder

    I have been working with a colleague on a new platform in the sharing economy for storage space.

    The platform was build using Python and the Django framework.

    Nerdalize

    Bachelor Thesis

    For my bachelor project at the University of Groningen, I developed a prototype for a web-based benchmarker application in collaboration with the innovative startup Nerdalize. The developed software solution allows benchmarking arbitrary applications on different cloud providers, resulting in a cost-performance comparison. The prototype was the basis for further development by a team of students at the TU Delft and was used by Nerdalize in a production environment.

    Talfie B.V.

    Co-founder

    From 2014 to 2015 I worked with a small team for a new company on an idea for a new social media platform for talents.

    For this, I built a platform where users were able to upload and share their own videos.

    Almanapp

    Backend Developer

    Almanapp develops software which enables their customers to deploy, manage and use an own mobile app for Android and iOS. By using a modular system we can provide a full custom package for every customer in their specific niche market.

    As Software Developer at Almanapp, I worked on the back-end powering all the mobile applications.

    Qwoty B.V.

    Web Developer

    At Qwoty, we built state-of-the-art websites, web stores and easily accessible online response campaigns for the generation of (email)data, products sales or other purposes. As Web Developer at Qwoty, I worked on the backend powering all our landing pages and was responsible for the development of new features and our custom-build CRM, used in our customer support center.
